Sore Feet, Toe Pain, Pimple On Toe, Bleeding On Popping It. Athletes Foot Infection?

hi, I ve started working at a lumber yard recently and am not used to being on my feet working for 11 or 12 hours a day, my feet get sore during the day but thats normal today, i felt more pain in my toe than usual, and when i got home i noticed what looked like a small pimple on the toe, i popped it, and it bled a bit.... any idea what this is, athletes foot maybe, i m in XXXX so this could be heat related ...

Hi there Smokefree..being a lumber yard must be a tough job & will definitely take its toll on your feet given your need to wear 'safety boots' et al. What you describe could simply be what is called in medical terms a 'pyogenic granuloma' which is why it bleeds on touch. It is a misnomer in the name..basically it is a skin reaction pattern & best resolved with cauterisation by your local dermatologist or GP using either a chemical cautery or an electrical mode or even lasers as per your budgetary constraints & size etc of the lesion.
