Sore Eyes, Headache, MDMA. Taking Medication. Advise?

Is there the possibility that MDMA is causing fluid retention behind my eyes? I've taken it a few times every weekend for a few months and my eyes (not so much my vision) seem to be sore. I've seen a doctor about it already but didn't mention the mdma, and she gave me some advil cold and sinus until i have an eye exam done. It causes abit of a headache. Any ideas?

Hello and welcome to HCM.

Thank you for your query.

Yes, one of the many side effects of MDMA is fluid retention, especially in the form of urinary retention, which prevents the excretion of fluid from the body, resulting in an increased build up and storage of fluid in the body in various parts, including around your eyes.

As you have mentioned it, MDMA can also cause blurring of vision, and dilated pupils. Just for your information. I would advise against the use of MDMA for recreational purposes, solely for your well being. Take care.

I hope I have succeeded in providing the information you were looking for. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications at: http://doctor.healthcaremagic.com/doctors/dr-shoaib-khan/64581 . I would gladly help you.

Best wishes.
