Sometimes I get numbness in the left shoulder blade, please suggest me

Hi, I am 19 years old and very active (tennis, swimming, etc.) and I had chest pain about 3 months ago and had an ECG done and nothing wrong was found. Then the pain went away for a while. About 2 months ago I felt numbness on the left side of the chest and I thought it was anxiety so I did nothing about it and it went away. Recently, it feels like there is some tightness around the left part of the chest and I sometimes get numbness in the left shoulder blade. I also get shortness of breath sometimes and some pain on the left side of the chest and on the left arm. I think I worry myself way too much and might be causing these symptoms thinking it is a heart attack. Still to be sure I have an ECG tomorrow. Do you think I have anything to worry about? Thanks! Also, I don t feel worse when I exercise, I actually feel better sometimes which also seems to point this is anxiety caused. Update: Had an ECG today and everything was normal. What could this otherwise be ? Thanks!

have you ever had a heart catheter done? a EKG didn't find my heart problems , since it's a enlarged heart valve, and a hole in my heart, i get tightness in my chest all the time, Plus my heart beats too fast, so i get palpation's ALOT, if you've never had one done, get one done to be on the safe side, It didn't hurt, and I go to see my heart and the t.v. monitor while the doctors were doing the test it was actually pretty cool to watch

Many symptoms over 3 years, MRI in 2008 was clear but could I still have brain tumour Hello, please help, 42 year old male. About 3 years ago, I started having numbness in my left arm and hand that would wake me up in the middle of the night. My first thought was a possible heart problem, and although my cholestorol is borderline high, the doctors said there was no immediate threat as long as I made changes to my diet. Over the following 3 years, these numbness episodes came and went. In March 2008, I had an MRI on my head and neck and no problems were found. The doctor thought it might be something to do with a nerve in my neck, but a series of x rays and tests have founf nothing there. In September this year, the episodes became more frequent and more severe - both arms and hands crippled when waking up in the middle of the night, taking several seconds to shake them back into life. I started having pains and a squeezing sensation in the sides of my chest, palpatations, and severe pains in my shoulder blades. During the day, my shoulder blades and arms would often ache. More heart tests were done, but again, nothing found, ECGs etc. Just more advice to watch my diet. December 3rd this year, I started having headaches. These would be all over my head, sometimes on the top, sometimes at the back, the sides, even the base of the skull. I also started having shooting pains in the right side of my head during the day, that last a second or so. And I kept waking up with numbness in both arms and now also leg cramps. 2 nights ago, I awoke at 3.30am with a terrible headache, it felt the whole front of my face was throbbing. I took an ibuprofen tablet to calm it down, but I had a headache (mainly at the back of my head) all day yesterday. This morning was worse than ever. I couldn t get to sleep, every time I lay down the headache would get worse, and also, I d feel twitching sensation in my right leg and arm, not like a fit, just one twitch each time I felt myself dozing off, to wake me up. And it felt like my whole body was throbbing. I still feel achey now, at the base of my skull. I m also suffering pain behind my eyes, particularly my right eye, and floating shapes when I look at a white screen or wall, or even a white cloudy sky or snow. The Doctor just says I need my eyes testing, I may need new glasses, as I use PCs and screens for work 10 hours a day. This started the same day as the headaches. Doctors say no, this isn t a brain tumour , and want to do more x-rays on my neck, because they say I have bad posture. But everything I read online suggests symptoms of brain tumour. This week I have started feeling nauseous, have missed evening meal 4 times in 7 nights because I just can t face food. My problem is this, if I had mild forms of this arm paralysis 3 years ago, and an MRI showed no tumours, could the worsening of this, and further symptoms, mean that there was something that they missed, which has now grown too big to ignore?

I have pain that started over a year ago. Started in left side of neck and only happened every few weeks. Usually lasted 30 minutes or so. Now, pain is acute to the point it almost takes your breath away. Pain has radiated to left and back of neck as well as in left shoulder blade, shoulder ball and socket and upper arm and sometimes lower arm. No tingling or numbness in arm, but it feels weak. I can move arm - doesn t hurt any worse to raise above head or lower arm, but doesn t get better either. I also get nausesated with the pain. It hurts 4-5 times a week now and sometimes last 5-6 hours. I usually have to take 2 aleve, 2 tums, 2 doses of milk or magnesia, drink a sprite to burp and relieve the nausea, and put theragesic on 3-4 times to get any relief and then it isn t immediate. I went to a ortho doctor who was no help. I am going to my regular dr tomorrow and he is going to try to get me an appointment with a neuro surgeon. Am I on the right track?

Hi I have been tested negative for thyroid & liver problems & arthritis. However I am unwell at least for sometime every day and have the following symptoms. Slight arrythmia, heat intolerance, even when it isn t hot at all I can heat up a lot, when i drink even cold drinks I heat up. Breathlessness, anxiety, irritability, fatigue, trembling hands, muscle weakness, depression, concentration difficulties, even when I eat a lot I don t put on weight. I have difficulty getting back to sleep when I wake up at night, pains/aches in joints and hands, mood swings, forgetfullness, body odour problems. When I twist the upper part of my body, where my thyroid is it feels like something is grinding and it blocks my airways a bit making it difficult to breathe. I take no medications apart from a ventolin inhaler. I have been diagnosed with adhd, tourette syndrome & depression. It really appears to me to be a thyroid problem but the tests have always been negative

Hello, I am 40, male, non-smoker, 6ft tall and weighing 194lbs. I ve been losing weight for the past 5 months. In March I went to my cardiologist to have my heart checked. Since then I am on Lisinopril 20mg to control my bloodpressure. All the tests were fine. At the time of my doctors visit I was weighing 230lbs. So I dropped around 36 pounds in 5 months. Is that normal? Also, it doesn t stop. I keep losing weight. I changed my diet a little bit, but nothing radical though. Less soft drinks and deep fried food, other than that I have decent lunch and dinner. I don t have any pain or loss of appetite. My bowel movement is normal and stool color is light-brown to brown. Could Lisinopril be the cause of my weight loss? Also, I have anxiety and get very nervous with the slidest pain. Could anxiety also be a cause? Your thoughts and comments are more than welcome. Many thanks Michael
