Something Bitten Vagina, Could Be A Tick. If It Is A Tick Could That Lead To Lyme Disease?
Hi my daughter came out of the shower saying was biting her in her vagina . I had a look and i saw a black flat thing.not sure what it was.when i tried to remove it it went further in. I took her to hospital and doctors could not find anything. They think it could be a tick!!!. I am really worried that this foreign body is inside her and if it is a tick could that lead to lyme disease .
Hi and sorry about what happened to your daughter.
Your worries are real and genuine. Where do you live? is lyme disease that common? Not all tick bites lead to transmission of lyme's disease. If is it that rampant in your area, then you may want to treat fully and clear yourself of any doubts.
If it is common and given the fact that it is in an area where the typical rash may not be easily visible, I may suggest that you just get the treatment as it is very less expensive with minimal side effects.
