So I ran my first full marathon yesterday and now

So I ran my first full marathon yesterday and now I am extremely sore! It hurts to walk, go up and down stairs, pretty much do anything. I know this is normal but what isn’t is that my left calf muscle is so extremely tight that when I walk my heel feels like it physically cannot touch the ground. It can when I’m standing still but when I walk, it hurts too much to try and put my heel down so on my left leg I have to walk on my toes/the front part of my foot. Idk what to do, is this normal???? I tried stretching and it hurts way too much! What should I do???

I ran a marathon yesterday at age 67. It was my 7th in the past 9 years. I am in excellent health, no adverse health history, and a non-smoker. I had a full cardiovascular work-up last summer, and all the tests came back excellent. I am 5 11 and weigh about 178. I trained 5 months, but run all year long. My longest training run was 20 miles, a month before the 26-mile event. I do very well the 1st 13 miles, running at a 4:30 pace, but run out of gas the 2nd 13 miles. I got achy and had no energy, finishing at 5:25. What do need to do to have more endurance for the 2nd 13 miles? Bill Bush

Hi there, I ran a 1/2 marathon today. I use to run in college and would call myself a recreational runner now, however, I forget that I m not 20 something anymore. I ran the race this morning with very little mileage and training put in beforehand. I have back pain and a bruise forming at the side of my spine. Should I be alarmed? Why did this happen?

I have a pain on the outer part of my foot near the arch close to the rear of the foot ankle. I ran a half marathon which is my normal weekend running yesterday with the discomfort. Today it is extremely uncomfortable to walk flat footed on that side and it has a creaky feeling. I want to make sure it isn t too serious. I have Kaiser but don t have money to pay for any crazy co-pays for x-rays. No bruising or noticeable swelling.
