Smoking Weed. Drug Test Positive For THC. Will It Show In Urine?
Yes, Hello I sorry to act so stupid but I caught my son smoking weed yesterday and made him take a home drug test for me he was only positive for the THC so my question is he said it was his first time smoking it. Can it show up in his urine if it was his first time? I am still taking the results to his Counseling center on Monday for there assistance but I need to know if that can happen or if it shows up only after long usage of smoking weed. Weed or marijuana are basically cannabis. Cannabis consists of THC or tetra hydro cannabinol as main constituent. If he has tested positive for home drug test it is very likely that he will test positive for urine test also. The urine test usually comes positive for about 1-3 days but it may come positive for a week also. And yes if he has taken the weed for only one time then it will not test positive for long.
You can take him to counseling center.

THC is the active ingredient in Marijuana. THC when smoked rather than ingested tends to be absorbed into the body rather quickly. A urine test can detect the presence of THC, but can only show recent marijuana use, rather than intoxication. Urine tests can detect marijuana upto two weeks.But the detection of THC also depends on the amount ingested.
If it was the first time, your son can be counselled and quite successfully.
