Smoking Addict, Marijuana, Hand Soles Cramps, Increased Heart Beat. Whats The Cause And Cure?

Hi Doctor how are you
I have been smoking since 1997 and started to smoke marijwana 10 years ago , three months ago i had strange feeling for first time in my life i feel it , it was numbness in the left arm , hand soles cramps and increased heartbeat . 2 days later the same symptoms happened again but this time with change colour in my left hand ( the left side of the hand became dark blue for 2 days then it turned to the nature colour ) . My cholesterol level was very haigh . I made ECG and heart effort every thing is ok . I have quit smoking since that time and practiced sport on a daily basis and take medicin for cholesterol .
Now my cholesterol level is normal . but some time I do not feel comfortable with my heart i dont know how to explain it it like a little pain for a second come from time to time .
Can you explain the situation that i have been through ? what cause the cramps and changing colour ?
Why i feel my heart is not ok while the ecg and the heart effort is ok , is there any more test or analysis i should take for my haert ?

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hi friend,
Welcome to Health Care Magic

The cause is substance abuse
The cure is to stop it...
You have not stated your age, gender, personal habits, family history or co-morbidities
You should see a cardiologist...EKG / HOLTER (24 to 48 hour ambulatory monitoring) / ECHOcardiogram / TMT (Treadmill exercise ECG) / LABORATORY work-up – may all be necessary for further assessment and assistance.
The treating doctor may suggest them depending on need, based on his assessment of the situation.

Take care
Wishing speedy recovery
God bless
Good luck

Cardiologist, Interventional Dr. Georgey Koshy's  Response
Hello,

If you have had a change in colour of your hand its because the blood supply got cut off to it for a short period and then normalized. You may have a problem with the arteries of your hand or you might have had an embolus (blood clot) from your heart going and blocking the blood supply to the hand. Since you have been feeling these vague chest pains but lasting only seconds its highly possible that these are extra heart beats. You have the risk profile to have heart disease so further assessment is necessary, early.

You need to meet a cardiologist who will assess you with an echocardiogram and a holter (24 hour ECG) machine. He might even advise a CT scan to see the vessels of your hand.

Regards
