Smelly Brown Discharge When Birth Control Pills Not Taken, Sexually Active. History Of Pill For Skipping Periods. Suggest

Hi.. This is a long one but I'm really concerned. So I am very bad at taking my birth control ( I have bad periods when I don't) so I take my birth control the best I can but usually miss a couple days a week.. Or take them at wrong times.. I use condoms for sexual intercourse. I have a 9 month old baby. And for the past week or so. When I forget to take my pills I have this smelly light browm dishcharge. It's freaking me out and making me think I have some sort of STI. I'm just really really scared. Is it due to my pills or is it something else? I also sometimes take my pills to skip periods if its at an unconventional time...

HI,
First thing is the oral pills must be taken regularly at a fixed time as advised.
Irregular hormonal intake aught to produce imbalace in cycle &irregular scanty bleeds.Blood being a good medium for bacterias to grow, infection is common . thus you have smelly brown discharge
Doubts about the STDs should be ruled out by physical examination/ investigations as per a Gynecologist's advice.
