Persistent olfactory smells may occur due to chronic naso-sinorhinitis,oral and respiratory problems, head trauma and rarely in complex partial seizures. You nneed to see a ENT surgeon and a neurologist if the ENT examination is normal.Environmental carbon monoxide poisoning will also cause similar symptoms.
