Small Red Bumps With Puss And Blood, On Scrotum And Base Of Penis. Is It Due To Infection?

For the past 6 months, small red bumps on scrotum and around base of penis . when popped small amount of pus and blood . scab afterward.. there were quite a few when they first came but went away after a few weeks of leaving them alone. since then there has been around 0-3 ... In the past few days there have been about 10? I am sexually active although since these appeared only every once in a while and with protection.

Thanks for your query.Based on the description of your issue it appears that you have multiple Sebaceous Cysts over scrotum and at the base of the penis. .Scrotal skin has more sebaceous glands that in the rest of the skin .So it is more prone to get sebaceous cyst frequently due to excessive sweating .Please clean up the entire area twice daily with warm soap water and wash your inner wares in hot water mixed with some antiseptic lotion like Dettol.You can take some antibiotics for 1 week to prevent these cyst from getting infected. Normally they will subside in 2 weeks.
