Small Child, Upset Stomach, Low Grade Fever, Lethargy. Treatment Options?

My 8 year old grandson has had intermittenly complained of an upset stomach , has low grade fever off and on and is lethargic. This has been going on for about 3 months now. His mother has taken him to the Physician several times now, they don t know what is wrong and have given him antiobiotics which doesn t seem to help. Any ideas? Should we be inquiring about any testing?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,
Thank you for your query,
As your grandson is having intermittent episodes of upset stomach, low grade fever evaluate him with basic investigation like CBP, CUE, ultrasoung abdomen and pelvis to look for any urine infections or any underlying problems.
Stool examination to be done to look for any ova, cysts to look for parasites.
Consult your Pediatrician once for exmination and evaluation.
Hope I have answered your query.
