My 7yr old granddaughter has a skin disorder across both knuckles, it resembles small cuts which are itchy, thsurrounding skin between her fingers is becoming calloused and orange. The soles of her feet are also orange. The gp has tried steroid and anti fungal without success. She is healthy and does not eat excessive carotene foods.

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Thank you for your query.

As your doctor has tried steroid and anti-fungal treatment to treat you grand-daughter without any relief I suggest that you consult a dermatologist who will be in a better position to guide you. Without having a look at the lesions it is not possible for me to guide you with the treatment.

I hope I have answered your query to your satisfaction.

Wishing your grand-daughter an early recovery.

Regards,

RKK
