Small child, loss of appetite, eating lots of gummy vitamins. Cause of concern?

Hi Doctor, my daughter is 2.9 year old . She was having a very good diet till two months back then she start eating gummy vitamins and as she likes their taste she is unstoppable. she eat almost 20 gummys a day and this continues for almost 15 days and now she lost her apetite she eat very very less. We are really concerned about it please help us that what should we do to regain her apetite?

The vitamins esp the Fat soluble ones like vit A,D,E and K are stored in the body and not excreted in the urine. Too much of these can cause problems. You have to stop these gummy vitamins,substitute with other favourites and teach her and make her understand gently! Good luck Dr Uma
