hi my little boy is 22 months, and was poorly yesterday, was sick and very hot, today he seems better but keeps crying in pain when he eats, i thought it was because he is teething but we have had a look in his mouth and he has a red rash on the roof of his mouth near the back, he seem hungry but cant eat, apart from a very runny nose he seems otherwise ok

Pediatrician 's  Response
Fever and rash can be due to many causes. You can give him medicine for fever and plenty of fluids but it is better to get the child examined once by a doctor. Small children are very delicate and can become seriously ill within a short time. Depending on clinical findings some lab tests may be required
