Small Child, High Fever, Body Heat. Taken Advil, Fever Reduced, Restlessness While Sleeping. Cure?
My 1 year old. Had a temp of 104.2 amd was very hot to the touch after advil and an hr It was down to 102, after a cool bath it was at 100.5. When he falls asleeo he has these periods of like hes having a deep dream and tries to shake out of it. When he was awakr he was himself nothinf out of the ordinary. He was alert. I dont feel a trip to the e.r is necessary but I dont know. I alsi dont have any money

As mentioned by you,your child is having high grade fever and i appreciate that you have given him cool bath and medicine,but i will suggest you to take him to doctor as febrile seizures is common in this age which needs to be evaluated,in the meantime continue with paracetamol after every 6 hours,do tepid sponging,give him plenty of fluids,

Your child is having probably viral fever and as the fever is high grade you continue Tylenol every 4 to 6 th hourly in advised dosage and do tepid sponging with lukewarm water and Advil can be given but 8th hourly only and should be given after food. Whenever children get high fevers they get jerks in the sleep and it is common for children.And if fever continues consult your Pediatrician for examination , evaluation and specific treatment.
