Small Child, Frequent Loose Green Stools, Breastfed. Cure For Loose Stools?
my 4month 10days old baby has loose stool -6_7 times ,consistency similar to new born period for the past 10days. Before that he used to have once a day little formed stool.he iscompletely breast fed . I have tried econorm after 1week ,but of no use. No foul smell,some times green. I am working women and i keep 200ml pumped breast milk thrice a week.kindly answer my query.thank you.

congratulations for breast feeding your baby..........i really appreciate that and request you to continue absolute breast feeding till 6 months and continue to breast feed till 2 years atleast
breast fed babies may have recurrent stool may be 7-8 times a day ..........you need not worry if the baby is other wise normal.
green color of the stool .............donot worry about that it occurs in babies and not a problem....at all

Thank you for your query,
In infants loose stools 6 to 7 times is normal and some times it is due to gastrocolic reflex.
As the child is exclusively breastfed and the stool is not foul smelling it is not looking like gastroenteritis.
You can continue econorm probiotic for 2 to 3 days and give frequent breast feeding to maintain hydration.
If the motion is still loose or child activity decreases, consult your Pediatrician for the evaluation and treatment.
