Small Child, Constant Loose Stools With Foul Smell. Due To Milk Allergy?

I have a 14 month old that has had consistant loose stools . They smell like a chemical. Its been unusual for her and going on for about a month and 1/2 now. We recently found that she has some sort of skin allergy to milk. Could she be suffering from some sort of milk allergy on the inside as well, and if so, what can I give her to supplement milk?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,
Thank you for your query,
Your child seems to have chronic diarrhea and it should be evaluated properly to detect the cause for it.
It may be due to milk allergy or intolerance to lactose or sucrose.
At the same time chronic infections like giardiasis should be ruled out by doing stool routine examination and stool for culture to detect bacterial causes.
So consult your Pediatrician to evaluate the causes of chronic diarrhea and the proper management.
Hope I have answered your query.
