Small Child, Complains Of Stomach Pain At Night, Has Not Passed Bowels Since Three Days. Treatment Options?
My 2 year old is very active during the day, but at night he complains of a stomach ache, and its like a pinching feeling and he haven t had a bowel in 3 days. I took him to the doctor and He said keep him off dairy foods for about ten days and bring him back if its not the answer, but I think its something else. Please help?

Doe he suffer from constipation?
If he does ...he might complain of abdominal pain like this.
Give him a glycerine suppository per rectally followed by a stool softener thrice daily for 14 days.
Give him lots of fluids,roughage and fruit drinks.Give him some yogurt after lunch.

The history provided by you suggests that your son has constipation which can be the reason for the pain in the abdomen. I suggest that you give him a glycerine suppository so that he passes motion. You may have to repeat the suppository for 2-3 days till all the hard stools are cleared.
