as for as medicne concern this seem to be right

most of the cases are viral etiology . this take 5- day course of illnes

some time fever take 5-6 day to settle

one thing what we can do regarding fever is you may shift from mefenamic acid to paracetomol that is safest antipyretic .

if fever did not subside do cold sponging of body .

Pediatrician Dr. Synthyia Bhagat's  Response
Thanks for your query.
Your child is having respiratory infection which can be viral of bacterial in nature.
Give acetaminophen for fever every 6 hours till fever is above 100F,continue with medication as advised.
It takes 24 to 48 hours for symptoms to decrease after medicine.
Give plenty of fluids, lukewarm water will be soothing.

In case symptoms persist get him evaluated by pediatrician.
Wishing your child good health.
God bless.

Thank you for your query,
The fever will take 3 to 5 days to subside after starting antibiotic.
So continue the medication as advised by your Pediatrician as per the dosage.
If the fever is high grade you can give mefenemic acid in a proper dose.
If the fever is continuing beyond 3 days, consult your Pedictrician for follow up.
Hope I have answered your query.
