Slipped, Fell On Ice. Having Large Lump On Eyebrow. Eyes Turned Black Even Though Did Not Hurt Eye. Suggestions?
I slipped and fell on some ice last thursday morning, fell directly on my face with skinning of my nose and upper lip and a large lump over my right eyebrow. On Saturday afternoon, my right eye has started turning into a black eye, spread a little more today...is this normal? I didn t hit my eye or scrape my eye at all.
A black eye usually occours after blunt trauma to the eye region or skull. And its a commonly presenting symptom. Usually a cold compress will suffice and no further management is required. One needs to be alarmed if associated symptoms of head injury are also present and immediate medical help may be required.
