Slight Pain In Hip After A Neck Injury, Tingling Sensation In Left Little Finger And Joint Pain On Legs. Solution ?

I am 63 year old man and had neck injury at age 27 while wrestling. for may be 3 years there was a slight pain on my left hip and now developed pain and travelling to the left hip. when about 2 months ago my left hips were bothering such I decided to stand and working with heavily involved computer artwork an d design. I noticed a tingling sensation on my left little finger and joint pain on my both legs. By the way when I want to get up with two legs I see there are no strength. I do not use medication for my pain and in the past I was considered to be strong physically.
I guess the spine give me all these troubles.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
From history it seems that you might be having osteoartheritis in your spines as well as in joints giving rise to this problem.
Due to pressure or irritation on nerves passing these affected vertebrae might be giving tingling and numbness and pain on the part.
Go for x-ray lumbo-sacral region and hip joint.
Consult orthopedic surgeon and get examined.
go for physiotherapy regularly.
Take Calcium, vitamin A and D supplements.
Ok and take care.

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement Dr. Saurabh Gupta's  Response
Hi and welcome to HCM

Your symptoms complex seems to be due to nerve compression. A follow up MRI scan will help in confirming the findings.
Since there is only numbness of the affected area it suggests that the affection of nerve root is only minimal.
Such minor symptoms are usually taken care of by Methylcobalamin supplements which you can take after consulting your orthopedician

Hope this will helps you. Take care.
