Slight Nausea, Pulse Rate 102-106 After Working Out. No Angina, Dizziness, SOB. History Of Hiatus And CAD. Advice

I am a 45y/o WM who resumed working out today (x1 hr, resistance & 35min cardio) after hiatus since 2/13. I finished my workout 1hr ago and after running some errands returned home to rest. I have been seated on my couch since that time. I have slight nauseous and, according to my wrist-worn cardiometer, my pulse rate has stayed around 102-106.I have no angina, dizziness, sweatiness or SOB. I do have a Hx of CAD (1 reason for the cardiometer)w/last MI being in 2010. Please advise.

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hi friend,
Welcome to Health Care Magic

Fast heart rate persisting long after the work out - with a past history of CAD - may mean recurrence of CAD. Absence of pain or breathlessness is no proof of absence of the disease. You should not resume it until you get a clearance from your cardiologist - you will need a physician supervised treadmill, before you venture out.

Take care
Wishing speedy recovery
God bless
Good luck
