Skin Tags Under Foreskin, Sensitive Area, No Pain Or Itching. What Are They?

Hi. I have 2 skin tags under my foreskin . They both seem to be on my penis s vein line, where the skin meets the head of the penis. The area is only sensitive when I move them but no pain or itch and they are never inflamed. I am married and have only had sex with my wife and we were both tested for STI s 2 years ago. I would like to know what they are and what i can do to get rid of them. Your help in this would be very much appreciated.

Thanks for writing to us.
The skin tags could be due to four reasons
A) warts- can be treated by removal and cauterisation of its base by a dermatologist. It is caused by a virus called Papiloma virus.
B) Acrocordon; It is due to ageing process and has nothing to do with infections. It can be left without removal
C) Diabetes Mellitus is associated with Skin tags in skin folds.
D) Venereal Warts associated with Sec Syphilis .Itching with verrucous rough areas with a moist discharge.In this case also Podophylin resin in alcohol is used to remove the same/ Laser cauterisation is also done to remove the same. Long term effects of these warts is their spreading and some may be precancerous.

kindly consult a dermatologist and go ahead with appropriate therapy as per its merits.
