Skin Rash On Under Arms, Torso And Chest, Rough, Not On Phase, Treating With Antihistamine. Treatment?

I have a skin rash, under arms on torso, chest, in patches, where the spots in some places have joined up to form a rough tickly area. I have just come back from holiday in Madeira (10 days ago) and assumed that any heat rash would have subsided by now. and wonder if I have picked up something (they are not mosquito bites although I did have some of those as well. I am prone to acne rosacea but have no rash on my face. I am treating it at the moment with antehistimine which is soothing. Just concerned as going to visit my grandchildren at the weekend and do not want to 'pass anything on'. Any ideas?

Hello,

To me, it seems to be related to heat rash, usually happening when skin is not allowed to "perspirate" normally due to hot and humid weather or skin lotions or creams you might have been used.

The most important thing is to keep the skin cool and dry, applying cold compresses or taking warm-to-cold baths.

Anti-histamines you are taking are good against rash. Sometimes, heat rash is related to sweat glands infections, which might need antibiotic treatment. So, it is good to contact a dermatologist for further evaluation.
