Sir, Mine brothers wife had an craniotomy operation recently in previous month. After operation, everything is good and body is recovering. The main issue is that the fever is coming on daily basis. Fevers comes 03 times a day and our doctor has suggested Calpol 650 when ever fever comes. For the first 6 days Paracetamol 1000mg was injected, then Calpol 650 was orally fed. It has been around 22 days that fever is continuing. Also we had done all test i.e. Blood culture report, Urine culture report, even cerebral fluid test. But no infection has been found in any one. Please suggest, your valuable advice is required.

i know this is going to be a dumb question but my wife had an aneurysm which resulted in a craniotomy and two clips. thank God she is doing well and back to normal with no apperant residual effects. no side effects except one. She is noticing bone growth in the bore areas and some other areas. you can feel them as well. they are not noticable but they are getting bigger and she is starting to get concerned. She calls them her horns. i have looked everywhere to try and get information. are they dangerous. can they be harmful. your advice and recommendations would be appreciated

I recently 2 months ago on August 19th 2014 had a brain bleed related to a drug called Plavix that I took for 2 months I had a bad head pain in the low back part of my skull. They did a craniotomy to remove a build up of blood. then they did some surgical repair to stop the bleeding. They also put me on Keppra 1,000 Mgs. a day then reduced the dose to 750 mgs. at night & 500 during the morning. It makes me feel tired I also had a small stroke but I have recovered from that stroke I believe . Can you tell me how long I may need to take Keppra? I am also a Heart transplant patient for the last 18 months doing well with that.WHy do I need to keep taking Keppra and for how long? Thank you Edward

Hello, I had a craniotomy in August 2011 to remove a Grade 1 ganglioglioma. It was small, about the size of a marble, in my right temporal lobe. I ve had many MRI scans both pre and post operative. I had one two days ago, (almost 2 years since resection) I have the findings from that, and I m not sure what some of the new changes mean. What is a moderate amount of ethmoid mucosal and mild circumferencial mucosal thickening in the maxillary sinuses?
