Sinusitis, Tonsil Stones, Visible Epiglottis, Feeling On Hair In Throat. Any Ideas?

Hi my name is Emily I am 22 years old and generally healthy. I am writing as I am concerned for my health. I have always had post-nasal drip. sinusitis, tonsil stones. Today when I was looking to see if I had a tonsil stone I noticed my Epiglottis is visible... but have never noticed prior. It scared me because at first I didn't know what it was! I constantly feel like I have hair in the back of my throat or the sensation of a foreign object. I have a Doctors appointment in a month but I am wondering if I should seek medical attention before then.. Thank you for your time

Hi,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
Recurrent throat infection with post nasal drip , sinusitis are most common causes of allergic bronchitis with super added infection.
Common allergens are dust, mite , fumes, smokes, sprays, fine dusting powder, sudden rise & fall of temperature , molds.
When any person get allergy , it will also get infection and there develops mucus and feel that there is something stuck in throat ( post nasal discharge).
In my opinion ,if possible avoid these causes ( allergens).
Anti septic solution gargles ( hot saline ) will give you some relief.
Physician consultation will help you.
Good luck.

Hi,
Thanks for contacting HCM
You have
Post-nasal drip. sinusitis, tonsil stones
Sensation of a foreign object
These all suggest about the URTI with oropharyngitis.
Avoid cold drinks, ice creams , cold waters etc and consult ENT specialist for further management.

Thanks
