Sinus Infection, Sore Throat, Pus Filled Sacks Behind Throat, White Bumps On Tonsils. Causes?

I have had a sinus infection and sore throat for over a week now and was put on Cephalexin antibiotic 3 days ago. My sinus infection is seeming to get better but my throat pain is still bad. I noticed clear/yellowish puss filled sacks on the back of my throat when I shine a light back into it. I don t have tonsils. Also, I have noticed I have little white bumps on the inside of both of my nostrils. Could all of this be a result of a virus?

HI I have through your mail and as you said that you are having nasal and sinus infection along with sore throat. You have consulted doctor who advice you antibiotic which help you in your nasal infection but your throat pain has increase and now you are getting bumps on your throat and white spots on tonsils.these findings of throat indicates for pharyngitis with sepsis of tonsils.You are now advice to consult your E.N.T.doctor for examination of nose and throat and some investigations like-(1) c.t.scan of paranasal sinuses.(2) culture and sensitivity of throat swab (3) Blood -C.B.C.,E.S.R.,blood sugar,(4) urine -Routine & microscopic.After this clinical co-relation is made between examinations findings and investigations to make diagnosis and treatment may be decided.Thanks.
