Otolaryngologist / ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi Jodi,

The child is probably having viral fever, you continue symptomatic treatment. Instead of ibuprofen you can use paracetamol as ibuprofen causes gastric irritation which can be the cause of vomiting. Also, use saline nasal drops 2 drops 3times/day that will clear the nasal block and nasal congestion. If the symptoms does not improve please contact a good child specialist.
