Should Thyroid Test Be Done If There Is Chest Infection And Flu Symptoms?
Hi should I have my thyroied bloodtest done if I have a cheast infection and flu sympt? I had a high anti thyroglobulin Ab(190) with my last bloodtest. I havn t started any treatment yet. My thyroid stimulating hormone has gone down from 12 to 9. Kind regards Susanne

Thyroid hormone increase or decrease has its own symptoms. Flue or chest infection is usually not a sign but yes if your TSH has come down from 12 to 9 then it means initially it was increase and now it is 9, still increase because it has to be low to 5. You should have start with eltroxin 25 micro gram and get your teat done again after 6 weeks.
