Should The Vitamin Tablets Be Continued For The Seizures And Epilepsy?
Hi there! My brother is 8 years old, have had 3 seizure in the past 3 years, about twice a year witnessed by his mother. when he seize he just hold his stomach for less than a minute and then he feels lethargic and weak after that.
he is 8 year old, male, his overall condition is normal. He is doing good at school with no other complaints.
After exclusion of other causes of his seizure, he has been diagnosed with epilepsy.
His last laboratory are normal, EEG is normal, and doctors put him on Depakene "valproic acid" tablets 200mg and Neurobion tablets " vitamin B1, B6, B12".
My question is should he take those medication or stop taking them because he is having one seizure a month and his labs is normal? Moreover, some doctors said that he should not take drugs and others stated that he has to keep taking those drugs at least for 2 years in a row.
