HELLO, WE JUST FOUND OUT THAT OUR FATHER 90 YEARS OLD HAS SQUAMOUS CELL CARCINOMUS ON HIS BALD HEAD AND BEHIND HIS EAR. HE HAS ALZIMHERS (sp) AND VERY BAD BACK AND NECK PAI N CONSTANTLY. WE DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO AS FAR A OPERATING AT HIS STAGE .WHAT DO YOU SUGGEST/? THANK YOU LOVEING DAUGHTER MARIANNE

Age and Alzheimers are no contraindications for treatment of squamous cell carcinoma skin. if the lesion is small it safely be excised. If extensive then you need to sit and discuss with your treating doctor, whether to go ahead or not. but best option would be to treat when there is chance of cure
