Should Oral Antibiotics Be Taken For Psoriasis Infection In The Lymph Nodes?

Iam asking this question on behalf of my dad who is 75 . He has psorisis and rhumatoid arthritis. Two days ago he felt a very very sore spot behind his ear. He thought it might be a bug bite . He went to the emergency room they said it was an infection in the psorisis that has gone into the lymphnodes. He is in more pain than he was. They prescribed an antibiotic sauve for staff to put on the sore behind his ear. Should he be taking any type of oral antibiotic ? Or should he go to the dr. if the pain worsens?
