Should One Be Re Injected For A Dog Bite After 15 Days ?

Hello sir ,my dog shiny has bitten my cousin joel 5years old boy last month on his hand,it was not a big bite it was just a prick and immediately he got all the 7 injections done and after 15 days it has bitten him again .Is it necessary to take injections again.our dog is 4months old and is completely vaccinated, even our dog was bitten by stray dog for that also we got treatment for the dog and vaccinated again.

no treatment is needed. also there is no currently followed vaccine schedule that has 7 injections. so it might have been the immunoglobulin. in such a case total protection is present and there is no need for further treatment, except antibiotics for the local wound.

Welcome to HCM.
now there is no need to take it again because complete course finished before 15 days.Just wash the wound with soap and apply neosporin skin cream.
what about Inj tetanus..?go for it,at the age of 5 booster of Inj.tt is also advisable.
