Should Neck And Shoulder Pain After A Fall Be Of Concern?

Saturday night I fell in the bathroom partly because of being half asleep and because my legs fell asleep. Monday I noticed a bump on my head. That apparently explained the headaches I was getting. Today I woke up with severe neck and shoulder pain. It s spreading to the other side. The bump is pretty much gone. It was on the same side of my head as the shoulder pain. Should I be concerned?

Hello
I don't think this is anything to worry about. It sounds like you have some muscular soreness after the fall. This is similar to having a whiplash type injury.
If you are experiencing stiffness then apply some heat and perform some gentle stretching. Massage and physical therapy can also help.

If you have a lot of pain then take an over the counter medicine like Tylenol or ibuprofen.

Best wishes. I hope this helps.
