Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Today I burned some trash in a metal trash can that had a plastic covering over the metal(which I didn t realize).. Now I have a pounding headache. I am just worried that the fumes could have caused this and I don t know if I should have a doctor evaluate me or just take some ibuprofen and be okay? The headache could be from work today, and having a rough day- but I don t think the burning plastic helped.
Hello Burning of plastic produces gases and this type gases are mild degree poisonous if inhaled in small quantity . Due to gas inhalation there develop headache ( due to vasoconstriction ) . Take ibuprofen and if you want also take some pantoprazole-d ( one tablet ) . Take rest and you will feel better . In my opinion this is not a cause of concern, no need of any doctor consultation.
Hi!! The headache you are having could be due to work stress and less likely due to fumes. You should get your blood pressure checked and if it is normal you can take ibuprofen. If the headache subsides with this no need to go to a doctor but if it continues for long get yourself evaluated by a doctor.
