Should I Meet Doctor After Having Burning Sensation After Unprotected Sex?
I have had the same partner for four years and recently we had unprotected sex immediately after there was this horric burning sensentation. And now days later it s sore and ichy. What is it? I have plans to see my doctor later this week. Or do I need to go to the emergency room
Hi, Your symptoms are suggestive of some vaginitis and you need to see a specialist for a local examination. Please maintain genital hygiene, avoid intercourse until further care and do not douche. There is no need to visit the emergency room if you are able to tolerate the symptoms for the couple of days until you see your doctor; regular disinfection of the area will help. Please have plenty of oral fluids, get a urinalysis and watch for symptoms of urinary infection. Your partner also may need to be treated. Hope your query has been answered. Take care.
