Should I Continue With Mucinac 500 And Doxt-SL For Bad Cough?

I am having bad cough in the morning mainly with short breathlessness. I had CT scan chest but no such issue was observed . This is continuing for last 4 weeks. I was now given mucinac 500 and DOXT-SL. Should I continue with the medicine or what ?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The mucinac should help to break up the mucus since it is a mucolytic.

This should be able to help. The antibiotic may also help if there is a bacterial infection.

You may also want to consider a topical steroid nasal spray such as nasonex, nasocort, flonase, rhinocort.
One of the more common causes of persistent cough are post nasal drip and these topical sprays would help with this.

An oral antihistamine and decongestant would help.

I hope this helps
