Should Hormone Treatment Be Continued For Brown Vaginal Discharge And Hair Loss?

hi. i.had been on.a course,of fertility treatment of clomid, duphaston.and eltroxin for.borderline hypothyrodism...four years, ago. The clomid didnt do it for me.i cant exsctly remember for how long i did te course, but i remember being given duphaston at the end.i did not finish the duphaston.cause as,i gained alot of weight and te doctor treating me had left the hospital...immigrated.Silly mistake not to follow up and self regulate. im now 46.im loosing hair, thick hair growth on chin( like fifteen or so). my period is regular as far as the 28 day cycle goes, but for the first 2 days its just a brown discharge,i beed ok for three to four days then a brown discharge for the last two days. im struggling with pelvic pain ever since.been treated for UTIs. also been treated for cervical erosion. erosion comes and goes.most uncomfortable.erosion treated with.ciprofloxacin. shall i get my hormones balanced..go onto duphaston? gynae suggested a pap smear again for cervical erosion...then depending on result to cauterize i think.im here cause i believe theres a hormone imbalance due to not completing the clomid duphaston course years, back.thats causing all these symotoms now.i had no problems with haorloss and chin hair or brown discharhes etc.kindly advice and what should i be doung at the gynaes.

Hello,

Thanks for your query on HCM

"As"per your clinical history is concerned please follow like this -

1)Check your present TSH level and if high then take regular medications

2)Take a multivitamin and iron caps regularly for loss hair.

3)Do an ultrasound and do endometrial biopsy then take exact antibiotics for brown vaginal discharge and your problem is not due to hormonal imbalance.

Do take preventive steps like this-

1)Practice safe sex. Use condoms every time you have sex.

2)Talk to your doctor about contraception.

3)Get tested. If you're at risk of an STI, such as chlamydia and request that your partner be tested.

4)Don't douche regularly. Douching upsets the balance of bacteria in your vagina. Pay attention to hygiene habits. Wipe from front to back after urinating or having a bowel movement to avoid introducing bacteria from your colon into the vagina.

Hope that helps
