Should Head Injury Stitches Be Cleaned With Dettol Or Pyodine?

my father 68 yrs old,5"9 height,58 kg weight,had minor head injury on vertex region of head resulting from a cracker one week back ,for which stitches were given and the bleeding was controlled,there were no complications..doctor advised to remove the stitches after 2 weeks...now is it safe to clean it with dettol or should pyodine be used?

I would prefer the Pyodine and the would can be cleaned twice a day. That said, simple cleaning with warm water and a mild soap is just as good
