Should A Second Dose Of Oral Polio Vaccine Be Given If The Child Vomited The First Dose?
hi!!! really worried my daughter has had her OPV on thursday...she is 19 months old....we fed her milk before taking her to the clinic....and then at around 8 am she had her Oral polio Vaccine....exactly 15 mins after that she vomited....my issue is that do we have to repeat the dose, has the vaccine got absorbed by her system....or has she vomited the oral dose along with the milk....please help!!!!!! fay :((

If she has vomited within 15 minutes the dose should be repeated.
As she has taken several doses of polio vaccine in the past and the government of India declared India as polio free during march/april 2014, there is nothing to worry even if you miss one dose.
