Should Lipitor Be Taken For Borderline Cholesterol Levels?

Hello Doctor,

I am aged 42. I have borderline cholestrol and BP. I have been taking Lipitor for the last 3 months.

My question,

1. Should I continue Lipitor, as I am only on the borderline.

2. How I can reduce the Cholestrol without Lipitor.

3. I feel very lazy always.

Hi,

In your age you don't need cholesterol lowering medication unless you have ischemic heart disease.
You don't have high risk of developing heart attack. So I would advise you to follow healthy lifestyle, eat sea fish much, have healthy diet, lose your weight if you are overweight, exercise much.

Regards,
Dr. Baghdasaryan
