Hi, welcome to healthcaremagic,
Before myringoplasty, get your PTA (Pure tone audiometry) and other routine investigation done. If you do not undergo operation or need time to think, at least keep your ear dry and prevent getting water into it. Just use a cotton gauge mixed with little veselline and plug your ear before bathing and then take it out after bathing. This way water will not get inside your ear. If water gets inside, your ear will get wet and infected and it will never be fit for myringoplasty even if you want to get it done.
It is about 1 year you are having the hole in your ear, so it is unlikely to heal it naturally. If your ear is dry at present(at least for past 1 and half months), you can undergo myringoplasty, if still there is occasional discharge from your ear (within past 1 and half months) i do not advice myringoplasty as there may be more chance of failure.
Wish you all the best
