Hi
Sugar level often goes high during any infection and sugar control is necessary in order to control infection. Sometimes during severe infection it may be necessary to switch to insulin therapy temporarily. But once infection controlled, sugar level reaches pre infection level and you can resume the previous treatment.
In your case as your infection got cured, no escalation of antidiabetic treatment is required
Thank you
