Should I Take Contraceptives Again After A Condom Break?

I had sex where the condom broke on friday at 2 am I began taking the pep pill at 5am and have so until today which was monday at 6am so Im an hour late into my cycle and was told now that the medication will not work seeing it is in my 72 hour time frame does that mean I need to start again

If the condom was broken contraceptive have to be taken to prevent pregnancy. Emergency contraceptives have most effective period of 72 hours after which it's effectiveness reduces significantly. You can still take it for some effectiveness.
