Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a 49 year old male who for the first time today took a BP medicine Atenolol 25 mg. This medicine is in addition to Lisinipril. I also was bit by a mosquito a few times last night, I do not see any visible bite on my hand. I currently have ice on left hand, I also took an allergy pill containing an antihistamine about ten minutes ago. I will probably fall asleep in about 20 minutes because allergy pill will knock me out, I just wonder if I took blood pressure pill at 10;30 am. Would I be experiencing a reaction almost 11 hours later? Should I just wait and see if allergy pill helps.
HI Well come to HCM Better to confirm the reason of allergy because if this is due to medicine then you have to change the antihypertensive medicine if this is not due to the medicine then no need to treat the condition because with no obvious cause this would come around soon, hope this information helps, have a nice day.
