I was diagnosed with PD two months ago and the doctor prescribed requip. I increased the dosage every week and now Iam now taking 6mg daily. My question is that I take the 6mg in the morning, the requip does not start working until mid afternoon. should I increase the requip or take it at different time? Hello,

I think that the dose of the Requip extended-release should be increased since there's not a satisfactory control of the symptoms. The maximal dose is 24 mg/day, I think you should try with 8 mg/day initially.

If still no correct control of symptoms, the dose may be increased to 12 mg/day after a couple of weeks. Discuss with your Neurologist for these issues.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
