Should I Get Checked For Small Bump On Temple Left After Hitting Head?

my 10 year old has a small bump on his temple after getting hit in the side of head from a plastic cup. It is still their after 2 months and has not gone away. no other symptoms. should we probably get this checked out because of the artery in that area?
