Should I Be Worried About Getting An Apicolordotic View X-ray?

Hi doc, good evening. I had a medical exam earlier and it included an x-ray examination. After getting the results they suggested that I should have an apicolordotic view taken but they didn t mention anything else. When I asked them why, they just told me that they can t read my x-ray results - possible reason could be my position during the time the x-ray exam was conducted. Should I worry?

Hello and welcome to HCM,
The usual view of X-ray chest is PA view or postero-anterior view.
PA view gives information of the entire lung parenchyma.
However, there are many other views depending on the direction of the x-rays.
Others views are used when specific information about some specific area is required.
The apico-lordodic view gives more information about the apical segment of the lungs.
This view may be required in case the apex cannot be viewed properly or the apical segment is obscured.

Thanks and take care
