Should I Be Worried About An Extra Flap Of Skin In The Throat?

Hi I took my daughter to dr today because she has a sore throat it s not tonsalitas but the dr did see a extra flap of skin in the throat she said it was rare and not harmful but wants us to go back next week what is it and how come she has it never noticed it before

Noted your history related to your daughter having sore throat. On examination her Doctor has noticed extra skin flap at the back of throat.
This may be a mucosal tag or a nasopharyngeal polyp.

I would advise you the following:
Consult an ENT Surgeon for clinical evaluation, examination and investigations to get the correct diagnosis and get this operated as this is not the normal part of the body.
