Should I Be Concerned About Skin Rash On My Leg?

I have a fist size bruise on my back (mid back) with no trauma/injury and had my husband not inform me it was there, I would have been none the wiser. Its not going away though. Duration about 2.5 weeks. I also have recently had a skin issue start up on my legs (very acute I might add). If I read into my internet search, it sounds like it is Lichen Planus. I have a Dr s appt scheduled, but its a few weeks away. Should I be more concerned? No meds (other than the occasional Alleve (Naproxen) for headaches…intermittent).

Hi,

It may be ecchymosis most probably. Consult the dermatologist for the perfect diagnosis and proper treatment. I would recommend you to apply thrombophob ointment. Take vitamin C and K tablets for few weeks. There is no need to worry. If my presumption is right, the lesion would vanish in few weeks gradually.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
